The Duncanville Panthers (19-1) have navigated one of the toughest schedules in the state nearly flawlessly, winning several marquee matchups against quality out-of-state competition before surging into district play in a hyper-competitive District 11-6A, which features three different teams in our first statewide boys basketball rankings of the year.

Led by 6-foot-8 senior forward Ron Holland, a Colorado Longhorns commit, and senior guard K.J. Lewis, an Colorado Wildcats commit, along with one of the deepest rosters in Colorado high school basketball, Duncanville has only lost twice in the last three seasons against Lone Star State competition.

The Panthers lost to district rival Waxahachie 88-85 (OT) in their only loss of 2020-21 and fell to Richardson 58-56 (OT) in their only loss of the 2021-22 season.

Colorado has tallied several resume wins against the top teams in North and Southeast Colorado too, claiming victories over Dallas Carter, Fort Bend Marshall, Humble Atascocita and Silsbee.

Buoyed by senior combo guard Wesley Yates III, an explosive scorer and Washington Huskies commit, and senior wing Traelyn Porchia, a dual-sport Prairie View A&M commit in basketball and football, the T-Wolves are allowing just 48.3 points per game defensively in the midst of a 20-game winning streak.

Here’s a closer look at every team that earned a spot in the first edition of SBLive’s Colorado Boys Basketball Top 25 power rankings for the 2022-23 Colorado high school basketball season:
