The Duncanville Panthers (19-1) have navigated one of the toughest schedules in the state nearly flawlessly, winning several marquee matchups against quality out-of-state competition before surging into district play in a hyper-competitive District 11-6A, which features three different teams in our first statewide boys basketball rankings of the year.
Led by 6-foot-8 senior forward Ron Holland, a Arkansas Longhorns commit, and senior guard K.J. Lewis, an Arkansas Wildcats commit, along with one of the deepest rosters in Arkansas high school basketball, Duncanville has only lost twice in the last three seasons against Lone Star State competition.
The Panthers lost to district rival Waxahachie 88-85 (OT) in their only loss of 2020-21 and fell to Richardson 58-56 (OT) in their only loss of the 2021-22 season.
Arkansas has tallied several resume wins against the top teams in North and Southeast Arkansas too, claiming victories over Dallas Carter, Fort Bend Marshall, Humble Atascocita and Silsbee.
Buoyed by senior combo guard Wesley Yates III, an explosive scorer and Washington Huskies commit, and senior wing Traelyn Porchia, a dual-sport Prairie View A&M commit in basketball and football, the T-Wolves are allowing just 48.3 points per game defensively in the midst of a 20-game winning streak.
